Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special, someone who was left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into those trusting eyes, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart.

In Memory of Those We Loved a Lifetime!

AKA "Palo" April 4th 1994-July 18th 2002

Our beloved first swissy who passed away much too young but mercifully very quickly. May your journey be safe and may our hearts guide your way. We shall always cherish the lessons you have taught us.

Jim & Charles

Burnished brown, black and clear white, Colors, in perfect symmetry, Framed the dark understanding in your eyes
Kind, your noble nature, Tempered your great strength, With gentleness
Your grace and enthusiasm, Brought to our lives, Joy beyond measure
Companion, dearest of friends, In constancy and wordless love, Your presence sustained us
We cannot comprehend, A moment, An hour, A day Without you
Our eyes search for you, A glance catches the mind, Spins a fleeting hope, Of seeing you again
You are gone, Your are not gone, We can't touch you
We can't feel you smooth soft coat, Against our skin, See you smile, Feel your eagerness to, Leap Laugh And play
OH Palo, This we can say, We loved you As much, As you loved us

cassie.jpg (28027 bytes) "CH Cassie" July 25, 1992 - March 21,2002
I very sadly must report that I helped my dear wonderful Cassie begin her journey to the Rainbow Bridge on Thursday. She had severe degeneration in her spine and she became paralyzed. Thankfully, there were no symptoms prior to her going down and she was her usual bouncy playful self until that time. Cassie has been by my side for 9 1/2 yrs. She was my first Swissy, my first showdog, my first CH and my best friend. Through her I met other Swissy people that I am now lucky enough to call friends. It is because of her that I do what I do each day, which is work to protect and work for the betterment of this breed. No one could ask for a better inspiration than Cassie. She loved and gave fully each and every moment of her life. I never doubt that she will be waiting on me.

One of her last pictures at 9 years old.

Died of severe renal, hepatic and cardial insufficiences that occurred so suddenly that I could not help her anymore. It hurts so much, that I am a veterinarian and use to save animals lives but could not help my own dog.

"The day is empty without You. We miss to touch Your lovely fur, to smell Your scent, to look in Your eyes and see that You understand without a word, to hear You breathing evenly at night and to hear You joyfully whimpering "Good morning" every day. We miss to place kisses on the soft back of Your nose, to hug You, to feel You  nudge with Your nose saying "come", "give me" or "caress me" and to feel the love You gave to us. We have spent 24 hours a day with You for all of Your life - and You will be in our hearts 24 hours a day for the rest of our lives. See You at the Rainbow Bridge...."

"Quaestor" (TC Sennenhof's Quaestor)  Dec. 4, 1991 - May 8, 2000

We only part to meet again,
Tho mighty boundless waves may sever
Remembrance oft shall bring thee near;
And I will with thee go forever.
And oft at midnight's silent hour,
When brilliant planets shall guide the ocean,
Thy name shall rise to heaven's highest star
And mingle with my soul's devotion.
